The Hammer Dulcimer with Larry Nelson
Larry Nelson of Fox River Hammer Dulcimer, Appleton, will give a presention that
features one of his hand-crafted hammer dulcimers. Larry is a very skilled craftsman
who has made many dulcimers over the past years - as well as a classical guitar.
He'll talk about the construction techniques and challenges that face a stringed
instrument maker, and will play for - and along with us. We asked Larry to speak
for us because the Hammer Dulcimer and the harp sound so well together...and because
there's a chance that we may interest him in the idea of harp building!
